About
About Me
I live in Austin, Texas with my wife and kids.
I care about clarity, incentives, and systems that compound.
My Story
Before I worked in machine learning, I studied political philosophy.
I later earned my Master’s studying demand forecasting and volatility modeling in secondary markets using ARCH/GARCH models.
Econometrics adds rigor to philosophy.
It forces you to test your beliefs against uncertainty.
That combination still shapes how I approach AI infrastructure today.
Work
In my professional work, I design and operationalize machine learning systems in enterprise environments.
Not just notebooks.
Systems that include:
- Data engineering
- Feature development
- Model training & evaluation
- Deployment pipelines
- Monitoring
- Governance & human-in-the-loop review
I’m interested in building the system around the model.
Outside of Work
I surf. I snowboard. I fly small airplanes.
I think it’s healthy to be struck by fear.
To feel uncertainty directly.
To confront it instead of abstracting it away.
Physical challenge sharpens clarity.
It reminds you what’s real.
Technology is powerful.
But it isn’t the point.
